Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HappyGut: Health Score Tracker ("HappyGut," "we," "us," or "our"). By using HappyGut, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

HappyGut provides nutrition, meal-tracking, health-score, food-information, and educational features. Features may change over time.

3. Health Disclaimer

Do not use HappyGut to diagnose or treat a medical condition or as a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of information you provide and for protecting access to your account. You agree not to misuse the service or attempt to access another user's account.

5. User Content

You retain your rights in content you submit to HappyGut. You give us the limited permissions necessary to store, process, and display that content to provide the features you request, including sending meal content to the AI services used by HappyGut when you use AI-assisted scanning.

6. AI-Generated Results

AI-assisted meal analysis can be incomplete or inaccurate. Results should be treated as estimates and educational information, not guaranteed nutritional facts or medical recommendations.

7. Third-Party Services

HappyGut relies on third-party services, including Supabase, Google services, and USDA food-data services. Your use of HappyGut may therefore be subject to applicable third-party terms and policies.

8. Availability

We aim to keep HappyGut available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features.

9. Prohibited Use

You may not use HappyGut to violate applicable law, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the service except where permitted by law, or abuse third-party services.

10. Intellectual Property

HappyGut and its original software, branding, design, and content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of those materials.

11. Termination

You may stop using HappyGut at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or third parties, or when these Terms are violated.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Continued use of HappyGut after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
